About Us
Founded in 1994, Sound Investment represents a well-established tradition of high quality singing entertainment.
Over the years, the group has comprised alumni from some of the country’s finest a cappella groups, including Yale University’s Whiffenpoofs and Redhot & Blue, Princeton University’s Nassoons and Tigertones, Washington & Lee’s Southern Comfort, Dartmouth College's Aires, Harvard Business School’s Heard on the Street, St. Lawrence University’s Saints, the Amherst College Zumbyes, Duke University’s Pitchforks, the Colgate Thirteen, and The Vineyard Sound from Martha’s Vineyard.
The members of Sound Investment are professionals in business, law, education, and medicine who possess a common passion for close harmony singing and who delight in sharing their craft outside of business hours.
Our Performances
Sound Investment is Atlanta’s unique entertainment sensation. A refreshing blend of wit, individual musical talent, and group showmanship, Sound Investment tailors its performances to the special mood and character of each audience.
A cappella music requires no instruments or special equipment and is appropriate for a broad variety of settings. The group performs for audiences of all sizes at corporate functions, private clubs, house parties, weddings, fundraising events, holiday gatherings, schools, concert halls, and hotels. Whether in slacks and polo shirts, coats and ties, or tuxedos, Sound Investment provides captivating entertainment for all occasions.
The group performs without first dispensing anesthesia, but we do provide post-concert counseling to those adversely affected.
Legal disputes with paying clients have declined steadily in number over the past few years.
As countless previous audiences have found, if you think you can't afford us, you're wrong. And, if you think our performance schedule is so busy that we can't fit you in - it's not.
Our Repertoire
Sound Investment’s repertoire includes swing era and contemporary jazz music, show tunes by composers such as Cole Porter, popular ballads from artists such as James Taylor, Elton John, The Beatles, Billy Joel, John Denver, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Gladys Knight, Jay & The Americans, Ed Sheeran, Jason Mraz and Coldplay, traditional holiday classics, and 50’s “do wop” songs such as “In the Still of the Night.”
